After the massive turnout yesterday for Bernie Sanders in the South Bronx neighborhood of Mott Haven and over 18,500 attendees, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has announced that he will hold a rally of his own in our borough.
“You see, I’ve always loved the people of The Bronx,” said Trump in a statement.
Trump added, “Besides attending Fordham University and driven in a limo everyday, a lot of the people, you know, I built a world class golf course there so I’ve always had this connection to The Bronx and its people and they love me, you know.”
Rally is scheduled to take place at Trump operated Ferry Point Golf Course.
Meanwhile, Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton announced that she too will hold a rally in our borough.
“People of The Bronx, I have always loved you and been there for you. I tried to protect you from yourselves, you know, the super predators we had to bring to heel.” said Clinton.
Hillary Clinton also added that, “Thanks to the police state that is the NYPD, we were able to do just that through stop and frisk tactics that disproportionately targeted people of color.”
